In July 2025, Singapore's manufacturing output increased by 7.1% year-on-year, maintaining the same growth rate as the revised figure from the previous month. This growth was predominantly fueled by a rise in the production of electronics, which surged by 13.1% compared to 8.4% in June, as well as an increase in the output of chemicals (up to 4.2% from 1.2%), transport engineering (15.8% from 13.1%), and precision engineering (9.6% from 7.8%). Moreover, there was a slowdown in the rate of production decline for general manufacturing industries, which adjusted to -9.7% from -11.7%. In contrast, there was a notable deceleration in biomedical manufacturing, with activity slowing to 0.2% from 11.4%. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, manufacturing output experienced an 8.2% increase in July—the most significant rise in a year—bouncing back from a 0.8% decline in the prior period.
