In the period from May to July 2025, Hungary's unemployment rate maintained a steady pace at 4.3%, reflecting no change from the same timeframe the previous year. The overall count of unemployed individuals saw a slight increase of 2,500 from the previous year, reaching a total of 212,300. Men constituted 112,600 of this number, while women accounted for 99,700. The unemployment rate for men edged up by 0.1 percentage points to 4.3%, whereas for women, it remained virtually constant at 4.3%. On average, individuals spent 11.5 months in their job search. Of those unemployed, 42.5% had been seeking employment for less than three months, while 29.2% had been looking for a year or longer. In contrast, the number of employed individuals saw a reduction, decreasing by 29,900 to a total of 4.681 million. For men, employment fell by 23,800 to 2.477 million, and for women, it declined by 6,200, bringing their employment figure to 2.203 million.
