In August 2025, Lithuania experienced a year-on-year decrease of 1.8% in producer prices, building on a 2.8% reduction in July. This persistent downturn was largely attributed to declining manufacturing costs, which fell by 1.7%, with a notable drop of 10.9% in refined petroleum products. The prices of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning also decreased by 4.4%. Conversely, there was a 4.9% rise in costs for mining and quarrying, while the prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities remained stable. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices declined by 0.5%, a shift from the 0.3% increase seen in July.
