In September 2025, Taiwan's exports experienced a robust growth of 33.8% from the previous year, totaling USD 54.25 billion. This marks a slight deceleration compared to the 34.1% increase observed in August and falls short of anticipated market growth of 35.5%. The expansion was primarily fueled by robust demand in the sectors of information, communication, and audio-video products, which saw an impressive 86.9% increase. Additionally, there were significant upticks in electronic parts (25.6%), machinery (5.0%), and chemicals (1.8%). Conversely, exports of base metals and articles of base metal witnessed a decline of 1.7%.

Regionally, exports to major markets showed substantial gains. Exports to the United States surged by 51.6%, while shipments to ASEAN countries rose by 34.0%. Exports to Europe increased by 27.3%, and those to both Japan and Korea saw a rise of 23.3%. Exports to China and Hong Kong also increased, albeit at a more modest rate of 12.8%. From the year's beginning up to September, total exports amounted to USD 452.68 billion, marking an annual increase of 29.7%. Notably, shipments to the United States surged by 54.9% during this period.
