In July 2025, Kuwait's annual inflation rate climbed to 2.39%, up from June's 2.32%, reaching its highest point since March. The acceleration in prices was notably observed in the food and beverage sector, which surged to 5.63% from 5.11% in June, as well as in miscellaneous goods and services, which increased to 4.86% from 4.80%. Meanwhile, transportation costs declined at a slower rate, decreasing by 1.75% compared to the previous 1.81%. The inflation rate remained unchanged in sectors such as housing (0.98%), cigarettes and tobacco (0.07%), and restaurants and hotels (1.94%). However, a slowdown was recorded in clothing and footwear, which dropped to 3.70% from 3.93%; home furnishings and maintenance equipment, decreasing to 3.22% from 3.30%; health services, which eased to 2.85% from 2.94%; communication, reduced to 0.48% from 0.64%; and recreation and culture, which fell to 1.76% from 1.92%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices rose by 0.22% in July, a slight decrease from June's 0.29% increase.
