Thailand's exports experienced an 11.0% year-on-year increase, reaching USD 28.58 billion in July 2025, and registered the 13th month of consecutive growth, according to official reports. While this rate moderated from the 15.5% growth recorded in June, it still surpassed market forecasts of a 9.6% rise. This significant growth was mainly attributed to exporters expediting shipments ahead of a planned 36% US tariff, which is set to be implemented on August 1 if no trade agreement is reached, resulting in a substantial 31.4% surge in shipments to the United States. By category, exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 10.9%, driven predominantly by strong performances in fresh and chilled fruit (107.7%) and refined sugar (36.2%). Simultaneously, exports of industrial products rose by 14.0%, bolstered by increased sales in computers, equipment & components (61.0%) and electronic integrated circuits (54.9%). Additionally, exports witnessed growth in other key markets: China (23.1%), Japan (7.1%), the EU (6.6%), and ASEAN (5.6%). Cumulatively, for the first seven months of 2025, exports grew by 14.4% year-on-year, amounting to USD 195.4 billion.
