In the third quarter of 2025, Spain's economy experienced a quarter-on-quarter growth of 0.6%, down from 0.8% in the preceding quarter, aligning with initial projections, as indicated by preliminary estimates. The primary catalyst for this growth was domestic demand, which contributed 1.2 percentage points. In contrast, external demand detracted 0.6 points. Within the demand components, household consumption rose by 1.2%, government expenditure increased by 1.1%, and investment grew by 1.7%. Nonetheless, there was a decline in exports of goods and services by 0.6%, while imports went up by 1.1%. On the supply side, industrial production expanded by 0.5%, driven by a 0.6% increase in manufacturing. Both the construction and services sectors experienced growth of 0.8%, whereas the primary sector saw a contraction of 0.4%. On an annual basis, the GDP grew by 2.8%, slightly lower than the 3.1% recorded in the second quarter and just below market forecasts of 3.0%.
